While IMTS-2010 has come and gone, it still lives on in videos. In case you missed the live cutting demos during the show, Citizen recorded them all.Posted on Monday August 30, 2010
We've begun installing the new Cincom L20e-IX machines from Citizen.Even though it has a new lower base price than its predecessor, it boasts now having twenty-seven (27) tool positions as standard including thirteen (13) live tools.
It is also very modular allowing it to be reconfigured to meet the demands of specific parts. For example, you can expand to 15 live tools by just buying two spindles for the independent backworking toolpost or you can add a back slitting spindle as shown in the illustration.

Citizen shipped its first machine in 1971. In 1990, 19 years later, shipments totaled 10,000 machines. In took only 18 years to ship the next 40,000 machines when in 2009 worldwide shipments reached the 50,000 mark. Source: Citizen Machinery website
